Unified Methodology for Strength and Stress Analysis of Structural Concrete Members

Abstract In this paper, a methodology is presented for determining the stress and strain in structural concrete sections, also, estimating ultimate combination of axial forces bending moments that produce failure. The member may have cross-section with an arbitrary configuration, region consist set subregions having different characteristics (i.e., grades concretes, or initially identical, but working stress-strain diagrams due to effect indirect reinforcement confinement, etc.). This considering tensile softening tension stiffening addition steel bars resistance surrounding layer. A comparison experimental numerical data indicates results, obtained based on methodology, are highly reliable informative.
